The degree program described herein shall be called bachelor of Secondary education major in Filipino(BSEd-Filipino)

 

Nature of the Field of Study

The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) major in Filipino is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant learning competencies to teach Filipino in the secondary level.

 

Degree / Program Goals

The BSEd major in Filipino program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for Filipino language and literature teaching.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

  1. Nakapagpapamalas ng mataas na antas ngkaalaman sa pagtuturo ng wika at panitikang Filipino sa pangunahing batayang edukasyon (basic education).
  2. Nagpapakita ng malawak at malalim na pag-unawa at kaalaman sa mga usaping lokal at global na may ugnayan sa wika, kultura at lipunan.
  3. Nakagagamit ng iba’t ibang kasanayan at kaalaman sa proseso ng pagtuturo-pagkatuto at pagpapahalaga.
  4. Nakapagdidisenyo ng malikhain, inobatibo at interaktibong mga alternatibong dulog sa pagtuturo, pagkatuto, pagtataya at pagpapahalaga.
  5. Nakagagawa ng pananaliksik ukol sa ikauunlad ng wikang Filipino bilang wikang panturo sa pangunahing batayang edukasyon (basic education)
  6. Nakapagpapamalas ng mga katangian ng isang Angelite: Christ-centeredness, integrity, academic excellence and community and societal responsibility
