DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT

The Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management program is designed to develop trained, research-oriented, and development -conscious top level educational managers. The program helps educational institutions in their human resource development programs and provides opportunities for school administrators to enrich their leadership capability skills, and knowledge of educational management, thus becoming more responsive to the challenges of socially transforming education.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The Ph.D. in Educational Management graduates are expected to:

 

  1. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the key principles and theories in educational management and leadership as applied in various educational settings;
  2. Analyze critical issues, trends, and practices confronting the educational system;
  3. Evaluate existing instructional/curricular/co-curricular programs;
  4. Design appropriate strategies to sustain efficient and effective operations;
  5. Develop mechanisms to maximize the use of both human and non-human resources in achieving educational goals and organizational effectiveness;
  6. Display academic expertise imbued with positive disposition and values necessary to become dynamic and influential leaders in educational institutions;
  7. Conduct original studies to address pressing problems in their educational settings;
  8. Apply pedagogical, leadership, and research skills imbued with the highest moral and ethical standards;
  9. Present research findings to a specified audience or forum; and
  10. Organize community-oriented projects through trainings or research undertakings.
