The degree program described herein shall be called bachelor of Elementary  Education(BEEd)

 

Nature of the Field Study

The Bachelor of Education (BEEd) is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant learning competencies to teach in the elementary level.

 

Degree/ Program Goals

The BSEd major in Filipino program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for Filipino language and literature teaching.

Program Learning Outcomes

After finishing the program, the students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the diversity of learners in various learning areas.
  2. Manifest meaningful and comprehensive pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of the different subject areas.
  3. Utilize appropriate assessment and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes.
  4. Manifest skills in communication, higher order think9ng and use of tools and technology to accelerate learning and teaching.
  5. Demonstrate positive of a model teacher, both as an individual and as a professional.
  6. Manifest a desire to continuously pursue personal and professional development.
  7. Engage in lifelong learning and understanding of the need to keep abreast of the developments in the field of elementary education.
  8. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and Filipino.
  9. Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
  10. Display professional, social, and ethical responsibility
  11. Demonstrate appreciation of "Filipino historical and cultural heritage
