Scholarships & Grants

Various scholarships and grants programs are available to support financially-strapped students who will pass the qualifications set by the University Scholarships and Grants Office.

  1. A scholar grantee may avail only one (1) scholarship grant regardless of its source: institutional, non-institutional or government.
  2. College scholarship is on a semestral basis. Assessment of qualification is done before every start of the semester.
  3. In case of ties in the upper 1% ranking, the Dean of the college/school will implement the basis on the re-computation of the students’ grade point average.
  4. All scholarship programs are based on the approved slots and available funds.
  5. Institutional academic scholar grantee must carry a full load of at least 21 units or more as long as it is prescribed by the curriculum of the college.
  6. Institutional non-academic scholar (Student Assistant, Talent, and Sports), must carry a minimum load of 18 units.
  7. The scholarship grantee should maintain the grade and other requirements set by the University Scholarships and Grants Office (USGO) for the continuance of the scholarship grant.
  8. Transferees may avail scholarships after one (1) semester of residency in the University (for non-academic scholarship program).
  9. Scholarship is not applicable during advance and summer classes, unless prescribed by the curriculum.
  10. A scholarship waiver and contract is required (except for the merit scholarship) to be duly accomplished and signed by the grantee and his/her parent/guardian. Contract is being served every semester during scholarship orientation.
  11. The Institutional non-academic scholar grantee (Student Assistant, Talent, and Sports) shall not be gainfully employed in any capacity.
  12. Student vying for scholarship with incomplete and change of grade (COG) status may complete the requirement within the semester where the grant is applicable to avail of the scholarship.
  13. The scholar grantee shall abide all the rules and regulations stated in the College Student Manual and Scholarships and Grants scholarship manual and contract.
  14. Any major offense that sanctioned to disciplinary action taken against by the HAU Board of Discipline (BOD) will disqualify the grantee from his/her scholarship after due process depending on the grounds and recommendation of the BOD.
  15. Other scholarship policies and guidelines will be discussed during the scholarship orientation before the contract signing.

  1. Secure and accomplish a Scholarship Application Form from the University Scholarships and Grants Office (USGO) located at PGN 103.

    Complete and submit the requirements to USGO at PGN 103.

    FOR COLLEGE LEVEL:

    Academic Scholarships

    For Non-Academic Scholarship (Student Assistants, Varsity, Performing Arts)

    1. Accomplished application form with 2x2 ID picture

    3. Copy of grades/Photocopy of Form 138
    4. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the School Principal
    5. Parent’s Income Tax Return or Tax Exemption Certificate (for Student Assistants)
    6. Photocopy of water and electric bills for the past three months (for Student Assistants)
    7. Health Certificate (for Student Assistants)
    8. Barangay clearance (for Student Assistants)
    9. Picture of exterior and interior of house (for Student Assistants)

College Students

If you are an incoming college freshmen student, the following scholarships are available for you in the first semester. Continuation of the scholarship grant on the next semester will be based on the conditions and maintenance requirements set by the University Scholarships and Grants Office.

 

ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS: for upper 10% of the Senior High School Graduating Batch.

  1. Juan D. Nepomuceno (JDN) Scholarship - For High School Valedictorian; 100% tuition discount
  2. Archbishop Pedro Santos (APS) Scholarship - For High School Salutatorian; 75% tuition discount
  3. Ricardo V. Flores (RVF) Scholarship - For upper 10% rank of the graduating batch; 50% tuition discount

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Accomplished application form with 2X2 ID picture
  2. Copy of Report card with LRN
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. Certification from the Principal’s Office stating the rank /distinction of the student among the total number of graduates. The certificate should be with the school dry seal.
  5. Copy of the graduation program (where rank/distinction is stated)

MAMERTO G. NEPOMUCENO (MGN) Scholarships: 

For upper 1% rank of HAU Senior High School graduating batch, 100% tuition and laboratory fee discount

 Requirements:

  1. Accomplished application form with 2X2 ID picture
  2. Report card with LRN
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. Certificate from the Principal’s Office stating the rank /distinction of the student among the total number of graduates. Certificate should be with the school dry seal.
  • Tuition discount of P3,000/semester
  • Book allowance of P2,000/semester
  • Uniform allowance (2 sets cloth, 1 set PE uniform)
  • Transportation Allowance of P800/month
  • Meal allowance of P900/month
  • Dormitory subsidy of P800/month

For students who are willing to render  24 hours of duty per week in a semester, 100% tuition discount and P500.00 monthly allowance.

REQUIREMENTS:

For students who are willing to render 16 hours of duty per week in a semester

The following programs are open for students who are qualified based on the HAFRD program criteria and standard set by the USGO. A 50-100% tuition fee discount will be given depending on the approved slots and available funds.

Senior High School

For upper 10% of the Grade 10 Graduating Batch.

If you are an incoming Grade 11 student, the following scholarships are available for you. Continuation of the scholarship grant on the school year will be based on the conditions and maintenance requirements set by the University Scholarships and Grants Office.

  1. Juan D. Nepomuceno (JDN) Scholarships - A 100% tuition fee discount for one school year to High School Valedictorian from a graduating batch with at least 10 graduates.
  2. Archbishop Pedro Santos (APS) Scholarships - A 50% tuition fee discount for one school year to High School Salutatorian from a graduating batch with at least 20 graduates.

A 100% tuition fee discount to High School (Grade 10) graduate applicants included in the upper 10% of graduating batch and qualified to Top 45 ranking set by the HAU Testing and Scholarship offices.

QUALIFICATIONS:REQUIREMENTS:
  • Applicant should belong to the upper 10% of the graduating class with a minimum number of 10 completers.
  • Must have a grade of 85% or above in all subject areas.
  • Must pass the University Entrance Examination
  • Ranking is based on class rank, grades in English, Math & Science and result of the entrance examination.

  2. Copy of Report Card with LRN
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. Certification from the Principal’s Office stating the rank /distinction of the student among the total number of graduates. The certificate should be with the school dry seal.

Junior High School

For upper 10% of the Grade 6 Graduating Batch. If you are an incoming Grade 7 student, the following scholarships are available for you. Continuation of the scholarship grant on the school year will be based on the conditions and maintenance requirements set by the University Scholarships and Grants Office.

 

Juan D. Nepomuceno (JDN) Scholarships - For Elementary School Valedictorian from a graduating batch with at least 10 graduates; 100% tuition discount for one school year plus free books to those who graduated in Angeles City elementary schools.

Archbishop Pedro Santos (APS) Scholarships -For Elementary School Salutatorian from a graduating batch with at least 20 graduates; 50% tuition discount for one school year.

A 100% tuition fee discount to Elementary (Grade 6) graduates. Applicant should be included in the upper 10% of graduating batch and qualified to Top 45 ranking set by the HAU Testing and Scholarship offices.

Grant by the Department of Education through Private Education Assistance Committee.

  • An incoming Junior High School student (Grade 7 level) will be awarded a financial subsidy every school year up to Grade 10 level provided that all the documentary requirements are submitted to the Scholarships and Grants Office during the enrollment period.

  1. Accomplished ESC application form with 2X2 ID picture
  2. ESC Contract
  3. Copy of Report Card with LRN
  4. Copy of PSA Birth Certificate
  5. Proof of Income
