Program Rationale
The Professional Science Master’s (PSM) degree is a unique professional education program in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Mathematics (STEAM) that is designed to prepare students for a variety of career options in the industry, government, or non-profit organizations. Specifically, the PSM combines advanced coursework in STEAM with relevant business and management courses to produce graduates who are highly valued by employers and fully prepared to progress toward leadership roles.
The Professional Science Master’s (PSM) in Cybersecurity is a hybrid program that provides IT professionals with specialized knowledge in cybersecurity and related skill sets to meet the demands and challenges of economic and infrastructure security in a high-technology society.
Program Objectives
At the end of the program, students should be able to achieve the following:
- Evaluate security risks in all facets of the information systems in an enterprise.
- Ability to apply appropriate cybersecurity policies, tools and practices to support security-related decisions; and
- Take the lead roles in planning, designing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining the secured networks and information systems.
Program Admission Requirements
The following are the qualifications of the applicants to qualify for the admission to the PSM in Cybersecurity, to wit:
- The applicant must have earned a bachelor's degree in any computing or allied field.
- At least one (1) year of work experience.
- Attendance to orientation conducted by the program coordinator covering the rationale of the program, objectives, qualification requirements, and program policies.
- Applicants are not required to take/pass an admission test. In lieu of the exam, an interview with the dean or Program coordinator will determine the readiness of the applicant.
Academic Information
Holy Angel University follows a trimestral calendar in a modular schedule. The modular schedule is a five-consecutive Saturday session, seven and a half hours per Saturday. Classes are purely conducted online.

Capstone Project– 6 units
- Capstone Project 1 (Internship and Research integration)
Prerequisite: All academic units required and must pass the WCE
- Capstone Project 2 (Product/System Development)
Prerequisite: Capstone Project 1
Graduation Requirements
- A General Weighted Average of 1.75 or better in all courses taken
- Completion of 39 units (18 units of professional courses, 15 units of business courses, and 6 units for capstone with internship integration).
- Passing the Written Comprehensive Examination
- Presentation of paper to either local or international conferences.
- Successful defense and submission of hardbound copies of the capstone project.
