Holy Angel University’s mission to provide accessible quality education is anchored in the founder’s commitment to serve the community by molding individuals to become professionals who are persons of character, competence, and compassion. This is accomplished through clear articulation of HAU’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Core Values to its stakeholders. The University’s VMGO and Core Values are posted in its website as well as in the University’s strategic areas. It is also included in the Course Syllabus to ensure that all learning activities are aligned to the VMGO.
The Graduate School seeks to produce technically proficient and globally competitive professionals who are self-sufficient, morally, and spiritually upright, adaptable to current and emerging technologies, and who contribute to community building. These values are rooted in the moral teachings of the Catholic Church and current trends in quality education. The Graduate School's mission, vision, and core values are outlined in the student catalog, brochures, website, and syllabi, as well as The Angelite Prayer and The Angelite Pledge. They are routinely cascaded throughout the graduate school's general assembly, graduate student orientation, faculty meetings, Program Advisory Council (PAC) meetings, academic advising, and other events.
The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) outline the skills and goals that MIT students are expected to possess and attain by the time they graduate from the Graduate School. The seven Institutional Student Learning Outcomes (ISLOs), which form the basis of Holy Angel University's educational experience in the domain of broad and integrative knowledge in all degree programs, are articulated in graduate-level terms as the GS/SOC/MIT student learning outcomes.
Holy Angel University's (HAU) VMGO was developed at a visioning session that was facilitated by the university president and participated by senior leaders, administrators, teachers, non-teaching staff, students, alumni, parents, and business partners. Participants discussed and formulated HAU's basic beliefs and future vision. Through orientation and reorientation sessions, meetings of the program advisory council, focus group discussions (FGD), and print and online publications, the VMGO was disseminated to all stakeholders. The HAU Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives (VMGO) were communicated to the various departments and cascaded down to them so that they may create their own VMGOs.
