Nick Vincent Adoptante began his Holy Angel University journey in 2004 (Grade 4).  At an early age, he’s always been interested in the arts and the English language. His interest in these fields led him to take up Communication Arts program in college. Aside from being a consistent dean’s lister, he was also part of various school organizations in college like the Communicator’s League, HAU Debate Society, and the HAU Student Ambassadors. He was part of the pioneer team that organized the very first PARAGALA: Central Luzon Media Awards.  When he wasn’t busy with his schoolwork and org activities, he also did some hosting stints for both on and off campus events including Mr. and Ms. HAU, Rappler’s #MovePampanga (2015), Angelite of the Year 7, and many more. He was also a Video Jockey for HAU’s music web show “Apl of the Eye”.
“The best moments I had at HAU was when I got to host events for different orgs and departments. This gave me confidence in myself but it also brought me such joy to be able to speak to and entertain a crowd”, Nick shares.
In 2013, he became very fond of his visual communication and advertising classes. Because of these classes and with the help of his brilliant instructors, this urged him to pursue a career in advertising.  He started off his career in 2014 when he got an internship at McCann Worldgroup Philippines, one of the country’s top advertising agencies.  His work at the agency led him to be awarded the “Best Intern for the AB Comm Program” in 2015.   He was then later absorbed at McCann after graduating where he became a Social Media Manager.  In McCann, he handled different brands as clients such as Nescafe, Philippine Airlines, Ayala Inc., and San Miguel to name a few.  Four years later to present, he is now the Art Director & Social Media Manager at U-Studio Manila, Unilever’s in-house creative team, where he creates digital content for different brands under the company.
“HAU definitely helped me become the best version of myself.  It was a place where I got to experience some of the best years of my life. I got a quality education, brilliant and genuine friends, but most of all it was a place that allowed me to be whoever I wanted to be” as he shares on how HAU contributed to his success.
Nick has this message to the students of today, “To the students of HAU, please know that you are at a wonderful university that will prepare you for life. Never belittle yourself and just always believe that you are meant for greatness.”
