Galamánu: Compassion through Service

On March 9, 2026, the College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics of Holy Angel University conducted an environmental stewardship and community outreach activity entitled “Galamánu: Compassion through Service.” The initiative was designed to inspire compassion, environmental responsibility, and a strong spirit of service among criminology students while extending meaningful support to communities in need.
The program featured three meaningful activities: catechism, an environmental clean-up drive, and gift-giving. The catechism centered on the 4Ps (Paggalang, Pagtutulungan, Pagiging Tapat, at Pananagutan) values that reflect important Christian principles. Through simple discussions, storytelling, and engaging interactions, the criminology students shared these values with the Aeta children, encouraging them to practice respect, cooperation, honesty, and responsibility in their everyday lives.
The environmental clean-up drive served as a powerful reminder that caring for the environment is a shared responsibility. Criminology students worked hand in hand with members of the community to clean and maintain their surroundings, demonstrating that collective efforts and small acts of care can create a meaningful and lasting difference.
As part of the gift-giving activity, the criminology students generously shared toys and cleaning materials with our Aeta brothers and sisters. The toys brought smiles and joy to the children, while the cleaning materials were provided to help promote cleanliness, hygiene, and a healthier environment within the community.
This meaningful outreach activity took place in Barangay Sapangbato, Angeles City, where Aeta children served as the primary beneficiaries. Through this initiative, the college not only extended assistance but also strengthened the values of service, compassion, and shared responsibility, reminding everyone that even the simplest acts of kindness can create a lasting and positive impact in the lives of others.
