SED Grads Bag Outstanding Paper, Publication Adviser Awards

Mr. Jonel Atienza Velasquez, an alumnus of Holy Angel University, was hailed as one of the ten outstanding teachers of Central Luzon during the 2018 PRAISE Gawad Patnugot Award Ceremony at Otel Pampanga, City of San Fernando, Pampanga in December 2018 and was also one of the recipients in The Ten Outstanding School Paper Advisers during the 2018 Regional Schools Press Conference held in Malolos City.
Mr. Velasquez is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education major in English, Magna cum Laude in 2010 and Master of Arts in English Language and Literature Teaching (MAELLT) in 2016. He works as a part-time Assistant Professorial Lecturer 1 in the HAU School of Education and as a full-time Secondary School Teacher III at Francisco G. Nepomuceno Memorial High School. He is currently completing the last phase of his academic requirements for his Ph.D. degree in Linguistics major in Applied Linguistics at the Philippine Normal University – Manila.

Meanwhile Ms. Jane Charity Estrada-Madronero, a BSED English and a Summa cum Laude graduate in 2013, was awarded one of the Most Outstanding Senior High School Teachers - Academic Track in Region X (Northern Mindanao). At present she is a full-time faculty member of Ozamiz City National High School (NHS), Ozamiz City. She is the school paper adviser of Green and White, the Official School-Community Publication of Ozamiz City NHS.
Ms. Madronero is also an active advocate of teaching peace (organized YOUTeacH for Peace - training teachers on peace education), a community organizer of series of projects like Share-a-Book, Share-a -Smile, Storytelling Campaign, Abot Supply Project, among others.
