SNAMS holds face-to-face clinical graduation for Class of 2022

On June 07, 2022, the School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences finally holds the 16th Clinical Graduation on campus. Class Lualu of the Nursing Department, Class Kairos of the RadTech Department, and Class Hiraya of the MedTech Department gathered for a mass at the University Chapel which was immediately followed by the commencement of their clinical journey at the PGN Auditorium.

Mr. Leopoldo Jaime N. Valdes, the OIC-President, welcomed the graduating batch of 2022 and their parents with a congratulatory message appreciating their resilience and hard work for the past four years. The graduating batch of 2022 were then awarded by Ms. Marizza C. Santos, the Assistant Academic Vice President, Prof. Al D. Biag, EDD, MAN, MED, RN, the Dean of SNAMS, and their respective program chairpersons, Asst. Prof. Noriel P. Calaguas, MSHSA, RN, ACRN of the Nursing Department, Asst. Prof. John Mark J. De Vera, MSHSA, RRT of the RadTech Department, and Asst. Prof. Jai Anthony F. Cuevas, MSHSA, RMT of the MedTech Department. Phoenixes who showed exemplary performances in different areas were also given special awards at the event.

Best Thesis Award (Nursing): “ASSOCIATION OF NURSING STUDENTS’ SELF-REGULATION AND ONLINE LEARNING SELF-EFFICACY” by Joergianna Marie V. Silang, Monica L. Borja, Steffanie A. Serrano, and Ericka C. Munsayac

Best Thesis Award (RadTech): “LIVED EXPERIENCES OF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS IN ONLINE LEARNING DURING CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) PANDEMIC” by Kristian Carlo V. Soriano, Mohammad D. Catacutan and Rodelyn Roque

Best Thesis Award (MedTech): “COLLEGE STUDENTS AWARENESS ON THE TRANSMISSION, SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS, PREVENTION, AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS COVID-19 IN A PRIVATE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION IN PAMPANGA” by Ideline Joyce D. Lalic, Aina Joy C. Mueden, Arrion Joshua G. Santos, and Pamela D. Dabu

Exemplary Student Leadership Award: Mohammad G. Catacutan

The mothers of Gabriel M. Togonon and Michal G. Villanueva, both recipients of Student Leadership Award, gave their testimonial speeches where they highlighted the unwavering determination and resilience of the graduates. After the moving speeches of the testimonials, tribute videos for each class Lualu, Kairos and Hiraya were played. Reflecting on their tough journey of being the first batch of college graduates under the K to 12 curriculum and the batch that had to endure the consequences of the pandemic, the seniors were moved to tears of gratitude, happiness and fulfillment. Eyes welled up even more as the students serenaded their parents with the song, “MAPA” while giving them roses as symbols of their appreciation and gratitude to their parents’ unwavering support for the last four years.

Prof. Al D. Biag concludes the ceremony on a positive and hopeful note for the graduates as he wishes and manifests successful licensure examinations for the graduating batch.
