CCJEF Strengthens International Ties with Indian Universities and Law Enforcement

In a significant move to foster global collaboration, a delegation from the College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics (CCJEF), headed by Dean, Dr. Niño M. Kabiling, Mr. Emanuel C. Manahan, Criminology Program Chairperson, and Dr. Nolasco R. Saporne, Guest Lecturer, embarked on a three-day visit to various Indian universities and law enforcement organizations from August 27 to 29, 2024. The visit aimed to strengthen international ties and explore opportunities for knowledge exchange and partnerships.
The delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with faculty members, students, and officials from prominent Indian institutions, including the Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory, Fire Safety Management Academy, Galgotias University, Lloyd Institute of Forensic Science - National Forensic Science University, SGT University, and the Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science. The discussions centered around a wide range of topics, including collaborative research initiatives, practicum, student and faculty exchange programs, and the sharing of best practices in forensics and criminal justice education.
The Indian counterparts warmly welcomed the CCJEF delegation and expressed their eagerness to collaborate on various fronts. They emphasized the importance of international cooperation in promoting justice and improving the quality of education. Both sides agreed to explore concrete steps to implement the proposed initiatives.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to further strengthen the bonds between CCJEF and its Indian counterparts. It is expected that this visit will pave the way for meaningful collaborations that will benefit both institutions and contribute to the advancement of criminal justice education and forensics practices on a global scale.
