Program Description

The BSIT program of Holy Angel University is an eight-semester program which focuses on the study of utilization of computers and computer software. Graduates are expected to be able to plan, install, customize, operate, manage, administer and maintain information technology infrastructure. The program prepares students for specialization in the areas of networking, web development or multimedia technology to respond rapidly to the dynamic needs of today’s business world through a curriculum that is based on the standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and is benchmarked from the curricula of leading academic institutions, national and international, offering similar IT programs.

After completing the program, students are expected to have gained a strong foundation in computer programming, system analysis, design, development and implementation, communication, critical thinking and technical skills required in the workplace by analyzing case studies and working on hands-on projects. A capstone project that focuses on the chosen area of specialization which enables the students to apply the concepts and skills they have learned in real and simulated business situations is the final requirement for the degree. Coursework will also prepares students for other industry-standard international and national certifications such as CCNA, Linux Essentials, SUN Java and TESDA National Certification tracks.
