Program Description

BS Aviation Management, with specialization in Airport Management, prepares students for their future careers in the aviation industry. The curriculum offers interdisciplinary courses in business and financial management and aviation management. It focuses on airport operations for comprehensive and efficient delivery of aviation practices and standards, promoting quality management and service, safety and security, and customer satisfaction.

Specifically, graduates from this program will be knowledgeable and equipped to manage all phases and areas of airport landside operations involving departing, arrival, and transfer. This will include passenger and terminal operations, management of airport safety and security, human resource management, information management, customer relations, aviation marketing, and commercialization,

The program also offers a wide array of general education and formation courses for the holistic development of students as persons of competence, conscience, and compassion.

This non-board academic degree program can take three years and one term or seven (7) semesters, with a 141-unit curriculum to complete and delivered through a blended learning modality.

 

Program Outcomes

The Program Education Objectives (PEOs) are based on the Philippines Qualification Framework Level 6 Learning Domain for baccalaureate degree programs. These are contextualized in aviation industry.

  1. Demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge and skills in aviation management for professional work and lifelong learning in airport management.
  2. Apply concepts of business and aviation management in creative work or research in the specialized field of airport management.
  3. Demonstrate a substantial degree of independence in airport management work and/or working with teams with minimal supervision.
