College Student Council is an organization of student leaders that is responsible for student-
institution communication mainly; (1) nourish well-being of the studentry, (2) uphold university
ideals and most importantly, (3) represent the student body in all related matters.
As the student governing body of the School of Engineering and Architecture, its student council
ensures the healthy and just general welfare of the entire studentry will be properly exercised
through conducting activities that will serve the need of the population to nourish holistic
development and publish resolutions that will be beneficial to the integration of the principles that
the department holds. The student council also protects the student’s basic and human rights as
students, and as Filipino citizens, thus, it is also responsible in assisting student concerns brought to
its attention and represent students in all major policy-making bodies of the University when so
provided by laws, rules and regulations promulgated by competent authority.
CSC-SEA is composed of one (1) Chairperson, (1) Vice Chairperson, 10 councilors (due to
the population of the SEA student body). Officers are elected and follows the
requirements, qualifications, campaign and election procedures based on the Councils,
Organizations, and Publications Manual (COPSMan) under Article IV and V.
Under Article XI of the abovementioned manual, the SEA Class President’s League is the
association of class presidents elected by their respective class sections of SEA who are
convened by the CSC Chairperson.
The CSC-SEA also offers staff membership called The Pride. Open to all bonafide
students of SEA that is an avenue for students to also develop leadership skills.
Staff/members are divided into committees (Executive, Legislative, Academics, Finance
and Audit, Public Relations, Outreach, Sports, and Multimedia Arts and Creative Team),
deliberated and decided by the CSC councilors acting as the heads of each committee.
Students who wish to be a part of The Pride undergoes registration and interviews
conducted by the CSC-SEA.
