CCJEF HAULS ACCOLADES IN PCAP REGION 3 EXCELLENCE AWARD

The College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics (CCJEF) continues to uphold its reputation for academic excellence and leadership in criminology education, as it proudly received multiple prestigious awards during the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) Region III Excellence Awards 2025 held on June 3, 2025, at Heroes Hall, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The Criminology Program of CCJEF received distinguished recognition for its outstanding performance in both institutional and individual categories. A key highlight of the event was the inspiring speech delivered by Mr. John Michael B. Amio, who achieved the remarkable distinction of being the National Top 1 passer in the February 2025 Board Licensure Examination for Criminologists. In his address, Mr. Amio encouraged his fellow criminologists and students to uphold the values of integrity and advocate for equality and justice for all humanity.
One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the recognition of the exemplary passers from the August 2024 and February 2025 Board Licensure Examinations for Criminologists (BLEC). Leading the awardees was Mr. John Michael B. Amio, the Top 1 passer of the February 2025 BLEC, who set a high standard of excellence. Additionally, Mr. Marcus Genesis D. Balisi was honored as a Regional Exemplary Passer for his outstanding performance in the July 2024 BLEC.
Further affirming the college’s consistent excellence, five students were recognized as Regional Exemplary Passers for the February 2025 BLEC: Kim Edilbert S. Vergara, Arian Grace B. Catro, Marvin L. Templo, Maria Angelica T. Nicdao, and Nichol John T. Sahagun. The college also produced Three out of the Ten 2025 Outstanding Criminology Students in Region 3, namely Amber Joy David, Kyle Christian Malonzo, and Juliet Carmel Formoso, who exemplified academic excellence, leadership, and civic engagement.
At the institutional level, CCJEF was Recognized as Institution for Excellence, earning distinction as Top Performing School under Category 6 (Regional) for July 2024 BLEC and under Category 4 (National and Regional) for February 2025 BLEC. These prestigious awards further solidify CCJEF’s reputation as a leading institution in criminology education at both regional and national levels. The honors were received on behalf of the institution by the Dean of the College, Dr. Niño M. Kabiling, and the Program Chairperson, Mr. Emanuel C. Manahan.
Dr. Niño M. Kabiling was awarded also service award for his dedicated service and leadership serving as the PCAP Regional Vice Governor for External Affairs. Likewise, he delivered the closing remarks, in his address, he reminded criminology students and his fellow criminologists to uphold professionalism and integrity, and to continuously strive for excellence in public safety and nation-building.
These accolades reflect the unwavering commitment of Holy Angel University’s CCJEF to produce competent, ethical, and service-oriented criminology professionals. The recognition from PCAP serves as both an honor and an inspiration to continue pursuing academic excellence, innovation, and transformative education in the field of criminal justice
