The Reflection bags three AOCPA awards

The Reflection, the official student publication of Holy Angel University’s School of Education, emerged as one of the winning publications from the recently held 2nd Assumption Outstanding Campus Press Awards (AOCPA), yesterday, January 12, 2022. The awarding ceremony was held via the official Facebook Page of REGINA, the official student publication of the University of the Assumption.
Two publication staffers of The Reflection brought home three individual-category awards namely, Editorial, Editorial Cartooning, and Opinions categories. There were 13 participating schools from Luzon that competed which included Ang Pahayagang Plaridel of De La Salle University, CLSU Collegian of Central Luzon State University, The Benildean of De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, UPLB Perspective of University of the Philippines Los Banos, The Pioneer of Angeles University Foundation, The Angelite of Holy Angel University, among others.
Trisha Denise Dimabuyu, won the 4th place in the Outstanding Editorial Writer and 3rd place in the Outstanding Editorial Cartoonist through her article “ANG SABI NILA, ‘HAYAAN NIYO NA LANG KAMI!’”.
The Most Outstanding Opinion Writer award was bagged by Mary Joyce Dizon alongside Ian Raphael Lopez, a staffer from UPLB Perspective. REGINA spearheaded the aforementioned competition and invited The Reflection to participate last November 2021.
The third edition of AOCPA Awards is set to start in November 2022.
