CCJEF deepened its connection with its adopted community, the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) Region 3, through a community extension service held on April 22, 2026. The activity focused on helping residents build life skills and develop a stronger sense of social responsibility. More than just a program, it created a space where people could learn, connect, and feel that real change is within reach.
Mr. Philip Lucas, from the CMO, led the session and kept it engaging and easy to relate to. He talked about discipline, accountability, and making better day-to-day choices—breaking these ideas down in a way that felt practical and doable. His message wasn’t just something to listen to; it was something participants could actually apply in their own lives.
The day went beyond discussions. CCJEF also held a gift-giving activity that brought genuine smiles to the residents. Sacks of rice were distributed to help with daily needs, while a set of lyres opened the door for creativity, self-expression, and even bonding through music.
To keep the energy up, CCJEF students organized parlor games that filled the space with laughter and friendly competition. It gave everyone a chance to relax, interact, and enjoy the moment. The event wrapped up with shared meals, making the gathering warm and meaningful for everyone involved.
CCJEF continues to stand by RRCY Region 3 with a clear goal: to support growth, rebuild confidence, and help residents find their way back into society. This activity showed that even simple efforts, when done with sincerity, can make a lasting impact.
For the residents, it wasn’t just another scheduled event; it felt like being acknowledged, supported, and reminded that moving forward is always possible.
