BA Comm kicks off PR Caravan

Holy Angel University Communication Program, in collaboration with the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) successfully led the PR Caravan Central Luzon with the theme, "Road-Up: Understanding the Stops and Gos of PR" last September 11.
Mr. Norman A. Agatep, PRSP President presented the diverse careers and debunked myths in Public Relations. “Public Relations is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics,” he said.
Agatep further clarifies the careers in PR and motivated future media practitioners in pursuing the field of PR. “The power of communication is very strong, and we need future practitioners such as you to use this wisely and effectively for good.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Ed Timbungco, Public Relations manager of Mang Inasal discussed different ways on responding and managing a crisis in social media. He ended the presentation with a remarkable quote from Warren Buffett, “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you will do things differently.”
After the presentation, the program proceeded with the performance of the Holy Angel University Chorale followed by an enlightening Q&A session with the speakers to further educate the participants about the vitality of PR industry. The 3-hour event was held via Zoom meeting and attended by more than 500 communicators from 23 different schools in the whole Central Luzon.
