Holy Angel University was recognized and awarded by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) under its 2021 ITSO 2.0 Program, for integrating a three-unit Intellectual Property (IP) subject in its academic curriculum. This award shows the dedication of the university towards emerging technologies and countryside development.

The full three-unit IP course was pioneered by the Industrial Engineering Program of the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), and an integration of a three-hour lecture about the Basics of IP Law in Technopreneurship and Entrepreneurship courses of the SEA and the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA), respectively. These initiatives were conducted in partnership with the university’s Knowledge, Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (KITTO) and Encephalon Technology Business Incubator (TBI).

Holy Angel University is one of the only 100 HEIs and RDIs in the Philippines that are under the ITSO Social Franchise, accredited by IPOPHL.
