MoU signing ceremony marks a milestone collaboration between HAU and UPM

In a landmark collaboration aimed at advancing the field of forensic science. The Holy Angel University (HAU) and the University of the Philippines Manila (UPM) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The signing ceremony was held last April 5, 2024, at Holy Angel University in Angeles City, marking a significant milestone in strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions. HAU OIC President Mr. Leopoldo Jaime N. Valdes and UPM Chancellor Dr. Michael L. Tee signed the MoU.

 

The MOU outlines a framework for joint research projects, organizing conferences, seminars, knowledge exchange programs, and developing innovative educational initiatives. The implementation of the MoU will be spearheaded by the College of Criminal Education of Forensics (CCJEF) of Holy Angel University and the College of Arts and Science (CAS) of the University of the Philippines Manila.

 

Witnessing this union of purpose were prominent dignitaries and key officials of both institutions, representing HAU Dr. Al D. Biag, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Niño M. Kabiling, CCJEF Dean while for UPM Dr. Raquel B. Del Rosario – Fortun, Chairperson Department of Pathology, Dr. Ma. Teresa De Guzman, Professor Department of Behavioral Science, Dr. Leonardo R. Estacio Jr., former CAS Dean, Dr. Jay T. Dalet, Associate Professor Department of Biology, and Dr. Kimberly Plomp Head of Human Osteoarcheology Laboratory.

The ceremony concluded with anticipation for the transformative outcomes that the partnership between HAU and UPM will yield in forensic science and determination to translate the commitments outlined in the MoU into concrete actions. As both institutions embark on this collaborative journey, they remain committed to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and making a tangible difference in the fight for justice.
