Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants-Holy Angel University (JPIA-
HAU) is the organization of Accountancy, Management Accounting and
Internal Audit students in Holy Angel University. It is an academic, non-
partisan, non-political, and non-profit student organization geared towards
promoting fellowship and solidarity, academic excellence, socio-civic and
cultural consciousness, as well as moral integrity to uphold moral values
that is beneficial to the interest of the accounting profession, to oneself
and others. Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants is a nationwide
organization operating under the National Federation of Junior Philippine
Institute of Accountants- Region 3 (NFJPIA-R3) and National Federation
of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA).
The National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants was
formed in 1983 under the auspices of the Philippine Institute of
Certified Public Accountants to serve as a link between the accountancy
students and their professional counterparts. Being the only national
organization of accountancy students, it is tasked with organizing its
members into a relevant sector of the business community. With that in
mind, the Federation is committed in training advocates of development
and innovations through knowledge by promoting fellowship among
member schools. The mother organization of NFJPIA is the Philippine
Institute of Certified Public Accountants. It was founded in November 1929
by a group of illustrious pioneers in the accounting profession namely:
Enrique Caguiat, Santiago dela Cruz, Francisco Dalupan, Jaime
Hernandez, Felipe Ollada, Ramon delRosario, Antonio Sanchez, Jose
Torres, Artemio Tulio, Clemente Uson, and Jesus Zulueta. Meanwhile,
JPIA-HAU was established in 1964, now celebrating its 57th year of
foundation.
Membership to JPIA-HAU is open to all accountancy, management
accounting and internal auditing students. Registration forms are given
during the start of the school year and an aggregated membership fee
shall be paid as prescribed by the local chapter, regional council (NFJPIA-
R3, and national federation (NFJPIA) as membership to the local chapter
means membership to the regional and national level, renewable annually.
JPIA-HAU’s Vice-president and Assistant Vice-President for Membership
are responsible for all membership requirements to be submitted to the
Regional Vice-president for Membership who will forward the same to the
National Vice-president for Membership.
