Satellite Libraries


The library houses the collection of books, theses and dissertations and other materials for the exclusive use of graduate school students. However, the undergraduate students may be allowed access to the materials only from Monday to Friday, but are not allowed to take the materials for home reading use.

  1. Objectives

    To support the curricular offerings of the Graduate School Department by providing academic library resources and services through continuous development, enrichment, upgrading and maintenance of books and non-book materials.

  2. Collection

    The library consists of the following collections: textbooks, theses and dissertations, Periodicals, Trade books, and non-print materials for the exclusive use of graduate school students.Theses and Dissertations Abstracts are available in PDF Files Click Here

    Book collections on the other hand, are merged with the collection of the Circulation Section found at the third floor.

    Accompanying materials (CDs) of books should be borrowed together with the corresponding textbook.

    Reference, Filipiniana, and Periodicals collections are for ROOM Use only.

    All requests for the use of Audio Visual materials must be for instructional or educational purposes only.

    Graduate School Faculty who wish to preview materials in preparation for classroom instruction may check out a limited number of items in the Audio Visual Area. Faculty must be with their students during the viewing periods.

  3. Services

    Research Reference Services
    Personal assistance provided by the library staff in helping library users to become self-directed and independent learners in the use of library materials.

  4. Staff Duties

    The primary function of the staff is to charge materials to the readers expeditiously. They are also responsible for the care and maintenance of the collection. They see to it that books are properly arranged on the shelves anytime, so that they can be located when needed.

  5. Access to the Collection

    All books in the section are reflected in the On-Line Public Access Catalog (OPAC).

    The library adopts the open shelf system where users have access to the stack collection, thereby, they can choose by themselves the books they would like to borrow/use.
