Annual Campus Journalism Workshops- University and College Publications

"Editorial Writing and Column Writing, and News Writing and Feature Writing” “On Journalism Ethics and Basics of Copy Reading and Headline Writing".

The Office of Student Affairs together with the University wholeheartedly embraces the responsibility of developing and preparing our students in their future endeavors. Providing them trainings and seminars will aid them to both personal and professional growth. Relative to this, the office sponsored the “Annual Campus Journalism Workshops” to College Publication Editorial staffers to help them widen their horizon and increase their potential in journalism and writing skills and likewise raise their social and political awareness. It also aims to provide venue for student journalist and aspiring writers to share opinions and experiences with one another and educate them on the significance of responsible journalism and writing for the people.

The seminar-workshop was divided into two parts, handled by three experts from the field of Journalism: Miss Ronalyn V. Olea – Editor of Bulatlat.Com, Mr. Vijae O. Alquisola, from CEGP and Mr. Peter C. Alagos – Editor of The Business Week. New techniques and new trends were introduced to the participants for a more creative and distinctive form of writing.
