Four representatives from the nursing department of Holy Angel University’s School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences (SNAMS) presented their respective research papers at the 4th International Conference on Open and Distance e-Learning (ICODeL 2021), held virtually last October 13-15.
Nursing chairperson and assistant professor, Mr. Noriel Calaguas, MSHSA, RN presented his study titled “Antecedents to Online Learning Self-Efficacy of Adult Filipinos: A Structural Equation Model." While, three students from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) class of 2022, Ms. Monica Borja, Ms. Steffanie Serrano, and Ms. Joergiana Marie Silang were chosen to present their undergraduate thesis titled “Association Between Nursing Students' Self-Regulation and Online Learning Efficacy” at the said conference.
The opportunity to land an opportunity to present research at a conference is no small feat, especially for young and early career researchers. The SNAMS takes pride in the contributions of its faculty and students towards addressing pressing issues of the times.
The theme of the 4th International Conference on Open and Distance e-Learning was “The University of the Future: Sustainability and Agility amidst Disruption”. The conference featured research done during and tackling issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Open and Distance e-learning experts, advocates and researchers from the all over the world were in attendance.
