In 2010, the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers Northern and Central Luzon Student Chapter (PIIE NCLSC) was formed to establish a regional organization that shall advance Industrial Engineering for the youth, their aptitudes and potentials, and to develop Industrial Engineering knowledge through Operational Excellence in the service of this region. The organization is affiliated with 12 schools under 22 provinces, including Holy Angel University. The PIIE NCLSC is a premiere organization which aims to unite the Industrial Engineering student body, its student members and member organizations, and to promote the intellectual, social, cultural, and physical development of the Industrial Engineering Community.
Last August 12, 2021, the organization announced its new set of Executive Board Members including Joshua P. Santos, a fourth-year Industrial Engineering student of HAU as its Regional Head. He is joined by eight other members who are bound to be this year's pillars for the organization. Santos was unanimously elected as the Regional Head last July 10, 2021, against two others who also ran for the position. He was previously appointed as the Regional Representative for the chapter while also being the President for his local school chapter, PIIE-HAUSC.
Santos says that he is honored to be elected as the next Regional Head and that he is glad to be of service at the regional level of this organization. His plan for the organization is to utilize the reach of the organization and to improve engagement among its members. His message for student leaders is to always strive for excellence and genuinely serve their constituents to the best of their abilities. <
Indeed, IEs have diverse capabilities that prepare them for the competitive global scene. The PIIE-HAUSC Congratulates Joshua Santos for this milestone.
