As the university heads to its opening of classes in the School Year 2021-2022, the College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics (CCJEF) commenced its very own virtual assembly on July 21, Wednesday, with the theme, “Virtual Assembly 2021: Preparing Panthers for Success from Day One.”
The four-hour event started with the welcome message of the dean of CCJEF, Dr. Niño M. Kabiling as he left a remarkable message, “Being a real panther is about growing, changing, and helping each other. You are here because you are willing, ready to learn and accept the challenges. Do not lose your nerve. It will not always be easy, but it will be great.”
The agenda of the assembly covered the introduction of its faculty and staff, the HAU and CCJEF VMGO, Quality Policy, curriculum, academic framework, grading system and Retention Policy.
The CCJEF Program Coordinator, Mr. Anthony John Jimenez presented an overview of the Forensic Science and Criminology curriculum to brief the freshmen and continuing students of their academic roadmap. The grading system, consultation period and E-Learning manual was discussed by CCJEF faculty, Mr. Eduard Dimalanta.
The assembly continued with the presentation of the CCJEF academic framework by Dr. Kabiling, which will be effective this school year. The college prescribed uniform and paraphernalia’s including the rules and regulations were presented by Mr. Felipe Bantiyan Jr., which he emphasized the importance of adhering to the said rules and regulations. Moreover, CCJEF’s very own student leaders have presented their respective organizations.
Following the general assembly is the virtual welcome party, exclusive for freshmen students of CCJEF. Various activities were done in their respective breakout room sessions, facilitated by the CCJEF Student Council.
Indeed, the College’s aim for a successful academic year for the CCJEF community is a priority, and two of its many ways are manifested through the said events by providing an effective line of communication and instilling camaraderie within the students and its faculty and admin.
