The 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 (CCJEF) launched a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 in line with its firm initiative to exercise one of Holy Angel University’s core value of societal responsibility — giving assistance to a population, especially the marginalized and helpless, outside the four walls of the institution. The program was organized by the 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲, 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟, 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥, participants from CCJEF academic organizations 𝐂𝐎𝐏𝐒 and 𝐇𝐀𝐔-𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄,
Last 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝟐𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏, covering a half-day-long event, was the initial launch of its community service program, launching a webinar entitled “Evidence-based drug education” that aims to extend its help by educating the youth who are undergoing rehabilitation in the 𝑫𝑺𝑾𝑫 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 (RRCY) located at Magalang, Pampanga.
This laudable and meritorious actuation truly exemplifies the principles of addressing one’s societal responsibility, and it also upholds the Catholic works of mercy, to visit the imprisoned, or those who are being rehabilitated. As a college that is committed to community service and genuinely upholds compassion, through its support on the holistic rehabilitation of men and women who are currently confined within rehabilitation facilities due to their past involvement in illegal acts, CCJEF, knowledgeable of the perils of the pandemic especially for enclosed and crowded facilities, extended its help by donating COVID-19 essentials such as face masks, several sacks of rice and alcohols last 𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝟑𝟎 as second part of its community extension service.
Slippers were also exclusively donated to the young men currently confined within the said rehabilitation center on the same day. The College was able to extend its help in several institutions of law enforcement, particularly the 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (𝐁𝐉𝐌𝐏) 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐞 and 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐒𝐖𝐃 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡.
It is quite gratifying on the part of the College to be putting into action the basic morals it teaches and inculcates to its students: to be committed in the service for the people, and to be just men of the law by practicing good will and compassion.
