Two Entrepreneurship student groups from the Department of Business Management of the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) won the Champion and First Runner-up Awards in Central Luzon’s First Virtual Business Plan competition on June 10, 2021.
Winners of the Champion Award are Diane Alfonso, Oreth Mica Ayson, Karen Lousie Canaveras, Joannalyn Garcia, Hannah Grace Hermogenes, and Marimar Nicodemus who proposed the creation of The Elisii Campi Timeless Ventures—a company that focuses on addressing senior citizens’ homecare and recreational needs. This business aims to enable elderly people improve their well-being through immense products and new services which would make them feel entertained and young again. It envisions to be the best care center in Pampanga that gives elderly people several experiences to look forward to. To date, no homecare center of this nature has been put up in Central Luzon.
The First Runner-up winners are Darel James Delicana, Rishalyn Dimarucut, Aishame Hasanabba, Jhonas Quiruz, Ge-Eun Shin, and Rose Ann Ulanday. They planned to establish Gone Green Company which aims to produce “CIFizz,” otherwise known as “Costus Igneus Fizz,” a plant-based food supplement in a tablet form. It is a brand of effervescent drink and vitamin tablet containing minerals like calcium, magnesium and zinc, and phytochemical constituents such as carbohydrates, triterpenoids, proteins, alkaloids, tannins, saponins flavonoids, steroid, as well as appreciable amounts of trace element. The product works mainly as an aid to glycemic control and helps support mental alertness and physical energy throughout the day. The product’s main ingredient is the plant “Costus Igneus,” popularly known as “Insulin Plant,” which is known for its anti-diabetic potential.
Entrepreneurship students from Angeles University Foundation (AUF) won the Second Runner-up Award with the company, Coffee Drippin.
SBA Dean Maria Lina Ramoneda and Business Management Chairperson Ma. Cristina Naguit lead the Entrepreneurship Team of Holy Angel University along with the groups’ advisers – Ms. Joy Anne Evaristo (Champion group) and Mr. Rio Yutuc (First runner-up group).
Eleven business plan groups from the Higher Educational Institutions in Central Luzon participated in the competition organized by CHEDRO3 – Central Luzon Higher Education Institutions’ Bayanihan 2021. The judging criteria were novelty of business concept, viability of proposed business, correct usage of the business model canvas, and compliance to format.
