Holy Angel University’s (HAU) BA Communication students bag, March 25, 2021, award of merit in the recently concluded 18th Philippine Student Quill Award for their entry, “AdGenda”.
With the theme: “Meeting of Creative Minds”, the team successfully captured the department’s 8th win in the said awards program.
AdGenda is an idea manifested into reality of now junior student and the outgoing Communicator’s League (CommLeague) Public Relations and Advertising Guild Head Clayborne Arciga, who headed the organization of this event along with his co-officer and alumni.
"Imagine an award where there are almost 850 entries, and your entry won. Winning the Quill is probably my biggest achievement so far during my college life. We wouldn’t have done it without the support of the program, alumni, and our teachers," Arciga told The Nexus.
BA Communication Program Chairperson Dr. Leslie Manalo-Medina, on the other hand, took to Facebook her congratulatory message to the Communication students and alumni.
"Congratulations Communication Students and Alumni,” wrote Manalo in her caption. “These brave young men and women took the road less travelled and submitted the AdGenda entry in the midst of adjustments on online classes and the pandemic.”
Joining Arciga in his team are Lucas Gantioqui, Teej Tulosa, Jardina Fajardo, and Carmel Abeleda.
The Philippine Quill is the country's most prestigious awards program in the Communication arena which recognizes the dedication, innovation, and passion of Communicators in the country on a global standard. This year’s Quill was themed “Arise” and it was done, for the first time, virtually via YouTube.
