A seminar about Cybersecurity Leadership dubbed as: “HAUisAware: Empowering the Modern Cybersecurity Leaders” was held at PGN 411 Caseroom of Holy Angel University last February 8, 2020. The program was spearheaded by Graduate School students of the Professional Science Master’s in Cybersecurity program, the School of Computing (SOC) Dean Dr. Francisco D. Napalit, and professor Dr. Grace F. Tyler. Speakers from GuideM and GM Bank joined hands in making an informative seminar that will teach the community schools and industries in Pampanga on how to lead in the disrupting digital world.
This cybersecurity seminar was intended for students in the State Universities and Colleges, and future leaders in the industry. The program discussed how to lead a company and include cybersecurity as a tool for the cyber resiliency to work. Attackers can exploit the internet connected home devices, and data privacy issues that most people take for granted and if the company leaders are not ready, they won’t be able to repel such threats.
The conference featured the following speakers: Mr. Bon Francisco Talampas, Assistant VP for Information Security and the current Data Privacy Officer of GM Bank, who talked about Cybersecurity Management and Communication; Mr, Richard Roy Mamaril, Technical Lead for Information Security of Zuellig Pharma and Co-founder of GuideM who discussed about Cybersecurity Leadership and Current Issues; Mr. Renz Angelo Livelo, Subject Matter Expert of Google Cloud Platform for TELUS International, who shared about Career and Opportunities in Penetration Testing; and Mr. John Kimber Luna, Senior Cybersecurity Engineer and Co-founder of GuideM who discussed about Career and Opportunities in Cyberdefense
