Holy Angel University is now one of the only 100 Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) universities in the country that are accredited by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was held on December 11, 2019 through Atty. Josephine R. Santiago, Director General of IPOPHL and Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo, President of HAU, during the culminating activity of the IPOPHL at Dusit Thani Hotel Makati.
The culminating activity, dubbed “A Mark to Remember” celebrated IPOPHL’s threefold milestones—to mark the completion of the term with the Director General’s Report on the status of the IP developments in the Philippines; to mark the official release of the document on National Intellectual Property Strategy (NIPS) Report; and to mark the seal of IPOPHL's appreciation of its partners and stakeholders for their support and cooperation with the IPOPHL.
As the university begins to function as an IPOPHL-accredited ITSO university, faculty, students, researchers and innovators of HAU and non-HAU stakeholders can avail intellectual property and technology transfer services through HAU’s ITSO Officer, Engr. Gina Tumang and Encephalon HAU Technology Business Incubator (TBI).
