AJ Dumanhug, a graduate school student under Holy Angel University's Professional Science Master's (PSM) in Cybersecurity program, and his team, bagged the Grand Prize in the Capture the Flag (CTF) competition of ROOTCON 13 last September 25-27, 2019 at Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City.
ROOTCON is a premier hacking conference in the Philippines organized for white hackers to share knowledge and build network with like-minded individuals by testing skills and trying to outwit each other during the competitions. The CTF hacking competition presents the most challenging problems that participants would need to solve.
Last year, Dumanhug was also a participant of ROOTCON's CTF where he and his team won 2nd place against 10 teams. He was also an invited delegate and presenter for Google and Facebook's BountyCon 2019 held at Singapore early this year.
