The Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HeIRIT) Program Team Lead, Prof. Nestor Rañeses together with Mr. Jhaze Asuncion and Ms. Crisille Villaluna visited Holy Angel University for the Readiness Assessment of HAU’s Technology Business Incubator (TBI), the Encephalon on July 24, 2019. The HeIRIT Team was welcomed by the University Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Alma S. Espartinez, Innovation and Technology Support Office Officer, Engr. Gina S. Tumang, Project Support Staff Level 2, Mr. Rio G. Yutuc and the operations team: Engr. Kimberly Hazel Serrano, Engr. Calvin Karl R. Garganta and Engr. Giselle Y. Ayson. The university was also represented by the different schools, colleges and the research office.
The event started with the opening remarks of Dr. Espartinez followed by the presentation of the HeIRIT Program Accomplishments and Readiness Assessment Objectives of Prof. Rañeses. Engr. Garganta did the introduction of Encephalon and presented the TBI Milestones for its first quarter of operations. The plans for collaborators was presented by Mr. Yutuc followed by the two-year TBI plan as detailed by Engr. Serrano. The visit was concluded by the two-year plan presentation of the Innovation and Technology Support Office through Engr. Tumang.
Encephalon HAU – TBI is a project by the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) through the HeIRIT Program.
