The Holy Angel University Student Council, in partnership with the HAU Guidance Center, held a mock election yesterday to determine the top choices of HAU students and employees for the 12 slots in the race for senators on May 13.
The HAU mock polls are considered important among local surveys because HAU is the biggest university in the region, its students come from a cross-section of society and is therefore a reliable predictor of results nationwide.
A total of 453 students and employees participated in the said survey, 38% of whom were employees and 62% students.
An administration official noted that the results showed HAU is going for a mixed ticket. "HAU has always mirrored the larger community outside because our students and workforce come from various social and economic backgrounds."
He added that past HAU mock poll results have always mixed administration and opposition candidates.
