Out of the hundreds of applications from around the world, AJ Dumanhug, a Graduate student taking up PSM in Cybersecurity degree received an invitation from Google and Facebook to attend the BountyCon 2019 at the Facebook Singapore Headquarters, Singapore on March 30-31, 2019. He was the only Filipino delegate, who represented Holy Angel University as a student of the PSM in Cybersecurity degree.
Dumanhug presented one of his bug reports to the conference attendees, including the Facebook Security Engineers, to which he was awarded a bonus bounty worth $1,000 USD for the best written report.
BountyCon is an invitation-only security conference hosted by Facebook and Google to gather the top security researchers in the Asia-Pacific region through their bug bounty programs. Both companies launched a Capture the Flag competition where participants who will be announced the highest scoring researchers will be sent an invitation to the all-expense paid event.
