Kimberly M. Cangco, a 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education student, participated in the Asia World Model United Nations (AWMUN) II from January 30 to February 2 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ms. Cangco was chosen from the 1,217 applicants. The youth leaders came from North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Oceania and discussed the world’s problems faced by the seven Councils of the United Nations. These problems could be in economics, health, culture, education, or food. Possible solutions were also given.
AWMUN aims to accomplish the following from the delegates: enhance their diplomacy, leadership, communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills as well as to expand networking with the other delegates.
