HAU welcomes fresh batch of English language students from Kyungbuk College

Holy Angel University opened its doors to a new batch of students from Kyungbuk College (KBC), South Korea who are attending a Four-Week English Language Course from January 7, 2013 to February 2, 2013.

The latest group of 33 students is the fourth batch from KBC to attend an English camp at the University under the international academic and cultural cooperation between HAU and KBC which began in February 15, 2011.

School officials, led by Prof. Robert Tantingco, Vice-President for External Affairs and Corporate Communication, welcomed the Korean studentsduring a simple Opening Ceremony held at Casa Nena at the STL Building.

As in the past English camps, the KBC students will also sit-in and participate inregular college English and Physical Education classes which will provide them with actual HAU classroom experience. Each student will also be assigned a Filipino student partner for one-on-one English learning interaction.

In addition, the KBC students are scheduled to make a one-day educational trip around Manila, with visits to Fort Santiago, Intramuros, the National Museum and Ayala Museum, to give them a flavor of Philippine history, culture and arts.

A previous batch of 20 KBC students attended the English Camp at the University from July to August 2012, three members of which are returning with this group to further enhance their English language skills.
