IT Students Participate in CISCO Networking Academy (CNA) Student Congress 2008

Seventy-seven seniors and two sophomores from the College of Information & Communications Technology participated in the first Cisco Networking Academy (CNA) Student Congress 2008 held at the CSB Hotel International Conference Center last December 5 and 6, 2008. The event was organized by the Cisco Core Council of the Philippines to update ICT students and alumni on Advanced Technologies in internetworking and IT industry; to train them on the use of Packet Tracer as an additional learning tool; to empower our students with workplace leadership and communication skills; to form a NetAcad student and alumni community through team building activities; and to provide a venue for a networking career fair. Delegates to the congress came from the Cisco academies in the Philippines.

Sessions on network technologies and trends were held in the mornings while workshops and team building activities were scheduled in the afternoon. A job fair focused on positions requiring networking skills was done simultaneously with the sessions.

CICT students actively participated in the discussions and activities.
