HAU-CICT forges CISCO partnership with PUNP-Tayug

Holy Angel University (HAU) and Panpacific University North Philippines (PUNP) – Tayug Campus signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last September 3, 2019 at PUNP in Tayug, Pangasinan. Mr. Paul Calimoso, College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) Cisco Program Coordinator, assisted by Mr. Rene Laguna, practicum coordinator, and Mr. John Rey Casingal, OBE coordinator, were welcomed by PUNP representatives Dr. Donna P. Taguipa, University President, Mr. Joey S. Aviles, head of College of Computer Studies and Mr. Edwin C. Taguiba, Operations Vice President.


With this agreement, HAU-CICT as a Cisco Academy Support Center (ASC) will now have PUNP as one of its partnered Cisco Academies. It will now provide services to PUNP that includes finding and setting up of Cisco classroom/laboratory, including ordering of necessary equipment, and assisting PUNP with the use and navigation of tools key to the operation of the program such as learning management systems and community spaces. It will also provide an on-going support by localizing critical operational communication from Cisco and showcase best practices and encourage community usage within the regional area. Furthermore, HAU will update PUNP on the changes regarding curriculum, tools and services that are beneficial for the success of the Cisco Networking Academy Program.


CICT and PUNP are also looking for other possible partnership such as MIT program offerings.
