SEA conducts 2nd Students’ Research Colloquium in partnership with HAU-Encephalon

The School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), in partnership with Holy Angel University - Encephalon, the University’s Technology Business Incubator (TBI) conducts its 2nd Students’ Research Colloquium with the theme “Strengthening Engineering Student Research through Academe Industry Partnership” last March 12, 2019 at the University’s PGN Auditorium. The program started through the opening remarks of Dr. Jay Jack R. Manzano, Dean of SEA. It was followed by the inspirational message of University President Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo, through the University Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate Studies, Dr. Alma S. Espartinez.


Each program was able to present two research works throughout the day-long colloquium. During the morning session, the Architecture, Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Programs presented their research works and were followed by the Aeronautical, Electrical, Computer and Electronics Engineering Programs in the afternoon. The research were paneled by different industry and academe experts in the field of aviation, agri-industrial, business incubation, systems engineering and technopreneurship that aims to improve their study and eventually become a step for a startup business. Dr. Arturo I. Figueroa, SEA Research Coordinator, delivered the closing remarks and extended the university’s gratitude to the invited panelist and researchers while encouraging other engineering and architecture students to do more collaborative research.


Through this 2nd SEA Students’ Research Colloquium, the HAU-Encephalon was introduced to the Engineering and Architecture students and are expected to help and collaborate to more students in their research and startup projects.
