HAU Alumnus receives MOKA 2018

Holy Angel University Alumnus Ferdinand Dizon Lapuz was awarded The Most Outstanding Kapampangan Award (MOKA) in the field of Mass Media last December 11, 2018 at the King’s Royale Promenade, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Lapuz was a graduate of HAU in 1987 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.

In 2004, Lapuz established Ignatius Films Canada to help promote Filipino films in the international scene. A year after, he returned to the Philippines to work full time in the media industry. He was a producer of HAU’s award-winning film “Ari: My Life with A King” and is known for his works on “Bwakaw” (2012), “Area” (2016), and the 42nd Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Die Beautiful”. Lapuz continues to manage the careers of Sue Prado, Elora Espanto, Therese Malvar, Soliman Cruz, Ronwaldo Martin, and Timothy Castillo. He is also the producer of HAU’s new feature film, “Aria” launched last November 17.

Lapuz joins HAU President Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo and Center for Kapampangan Studies Director Robert P. Tantingco, in the pool of more than 400 outstanding Kapampangans that have been chosen from the different fields and honored with the prestigious award.
