SEA – ECE presents ‘Secured Command and Control Communication’ research at DOST-PCIEERD

School of Engineering and Architecture’s Electronics Engineering (SEA-ECE) program presented a research proposal entitled “Secured Command and Control (C2) Communication” to the technical panel of Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research Development (PCIEERD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) for Grants-In-Aid funding. The research aims to provide an indigenously designed and developed secured command and control communication system for shipboard/ground/aircraft of the Philippine Navy that is inexpensive and locally maintained, tailor made for its current and future missions. The proposal was presented by Engr. Leo Almazan (a DOST Balik Scientist), Engr. Richard L. Figueroa (a faculty member of ECE Program), and Engr. Edzel Galguerra (a faculty member of the Graduate School of Engineering) last October 19, 2018 at the National Engineering Center Board Room of the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. The event was also attended by members of the Philippine Navy headed by Commodore Rommel Jason L. Galang, who is the commander of both Naval Forces West and Joint Task Force West.
