HAU-SED Holds 6th Regional Peace & Human Rights Lecture-Forum

In celebration of the UN International day of Peace organized by the HAU School of Education (SED), UNESCO Peace Prize awardee Dr. Swee-Hin Toh and former Chair of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Dr. Felipe de Leon Jr. led this year’s Regional Lecture Forum on Peace and Human Rights last September 21 held at HAU.


Joining Prof. Toh and Prof. De Leon Jr. was Ms. Ninia dela Cruz, speaker and publication writer for IBON Foundation Inc. Aside from lecture-forum, a peace art exhibit, inter-school poster and essay writing contests, and outreach activity for the Aeta students of Camias Senior High School were also conducted.


HAU-SED has been organizing peace and human rights lecture-forum for the 6th year, targeting school administrators, student leaders, teachers of Christian Living and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP) of both public and private sectors in basic education and higher education institutions in Region III. It has begun integrating peace education in its undergraduate teacher education curricula in 2012.
