HAU's oldest Alumnus passes away at 96

Mr. Pedro Munoz Baula, considered the oldest HAU alumnus passed away last May 16, 2018. He was 96. Mr. Baula was from the HS Batch 1938 and finished his Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Accounting in 1954. He was the first Associate Editor of The Angelite, which is the official HAU publication upon its launch in 1937. During his third year as a college student, Mr. Baula, was given an honor by Don Juan Nepomuceno for having passed the challenging CPA Licensure Examination when he was only third year. Thus, armed with confidence and courage, he successfully graduated magna cum laude after a year.

In 1955, Mr. Baula, announced the opening of its accounting firm called Baula, Tinio, Meneses & Associates.

Mr. Baula, was born on October 25, 1921 when the country was still under the American sovereignty. In 1949, he enrolled at HAU which was back then called Holy Angel College.
