SNAMS spearheads ‘Evidence-based Nursing Practice’ lecture

The School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences (SNAMS), in collaboration with the Philippine Nursing Research Society, Inc. (PNRSI) hosted an enrichment seminar about the “value of strong and legitimate evidence”, in informing the practice of nursing to ensure that care delivery is rendered with utmost quality last March 17 at PGN 611. The lecture was delivered by the Honorary Fellow of the Australian Catholic University – School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine, Dr. Maria Cynthia (Cindy) Leigh.

Graduate students were strongly enthused to be vanguards of quality care delivery through the process of scrutinizing available evidences, and later in the development of their own best practice innovations. This event also ushered another fruitful academic endeavor by applying Dr. Leigh as a Balik Scientist under the Department of Science and Technology, having HAU-SNAMS and partner health care agencies as beneficiaries.
