CICT, SEA students top TORO IT Elite Challenge 2018

Nine Angelites from the College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) and School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), out of the 70 participants won the final round of the TORO Inter-School IT Elite Challenge 2018 last January 30, 2018 at Holy Angel University. Student victors of the Front-End and Back-End Categories were from the CICT and System Administration Category from the SEA.


The Front-End Category was championed by Al Jeremiah Oquindo; followed by John Anna Lumanlan and Mar Michael Lapuz, 1st Runner-Ups; and Iah Buenacosta, 2nd Runner-Up. On the other hand, Vince Aldrin Cabrera was hailed Champion for the Back-End Category. For the System Administration Category, Reden Anicete and Fles Russelle Torres ended 1st Runner-Ups, and Verrell Victor Soriano and John Christian Garcia, 2nd Runner-Ups, respectively.


TORO is an Australian-owned BPO in Clark, Pampanga specializing in accessible enterprise class softwares for businesses. The TORO Inter-School IT Elite Challenge is an annual student competition organized by TORO participated in by colleges and universities in the region. In the past years, HAU students have been consistently ending champions in different categories.
