HAU, TO HOST UFTE NATIONAL CONGRESS

Holy Angel University (HAU) will be hosting the 12th Student Congress organized by the Union of Filipino Tourism Educators of the Philippines (UFTE), a national organization for tourism educators on March 2, 2018. This event is held annually with expected number of attendees reaching up to 500 to 1,000 from different colleges and universities nationwide. There will competitions like Kasuotang Pinoy, Cultural Dance Competition, Tour Packaging for Local and International Destinations, and Tourism Quiz Bee among other competitions. School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (SHTM) dean, Dr. Gertrude P. Tuazon, serving as board member of UFTE, will lead the event as the Convention Chair.


The event is aligned with the UN World Tourism Organization's theme for the year, “Tourism and Cultural Heritage Protection”. ​Respected speakers will give insights on how the international and local heritage tourism adheres to this campaign as well as how this impacts the protection of our cultural heritage today as essential for building better tomorrow.
