SNAMS Faculty, Student Adjudged as Best Research Presenters in an International Confab

Dr. Lucila O. Sunga and Ms. Precious Jean M. Marquez were adjudged winners of Best Podium Presentation in the 1st International Nursing Education Practice and Research Conference held in Crown Legacy Hotel in Baguio City last August 25-26, 2017. Dr. Sunga, a graduate faculty member, presented her research on “The role of authentic leadership and authentic followership to self-efficacy, work engagement, and organizational commitment among nurses.” Ms. Marquez, a PhD in Nursing Education student, presented her MSN thesis on “Hope and health-related quality of life in patients with cancer undergoing adjuvant therapy.”

The two participants from the School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences bested other research presenters coming from various parts of the world like Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Their research presentations were a way of showcasing to the more than 300 conference participants the research culture that SNAMS is embracing.
