Why 'Data Privacy' Matters: Educating the HAU Community

Holy Angel University, in cooperation with Metro Clark ICT Council (MCICTC) and PSITE R3, hosted a Data Privacy Training-Seminar last July 25, 2017 at the 4th Floor, SFJ Building in the University. The seminar was conducted by Atty. Karl Baquiran, Legal Assistant, Compliance and Monitoring Division of the National Privacy Commission, whose aim is to educate the public about data privacy and protection, fair information rights and responsibilities as mandated by the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

More than a 100 participants from HAU, MCICTC and PSITE R3 attended the event. They were introduced to the data privacy accountability and compliance framework, and how each individual's information and privacy must be secured and protected.
