ANGELES CITY—Food trucks and carts from Pampanga and Metro Manila will gather once again at the Holy Angel University (HAU) grounds this May 12-13 to offer a delicious mix of mobile gourmet delicacies and live music. After the successful launch of the first-ever Food Truck Fest in the region last year, HAU – College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) together with the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 3 and Angeles City Tourism Office (ACTO) once again collaborate to make the event even bigger and more flavourful.

Apart from buffalo wings, sausages, cheese steaks, and tacos, additional food trucks are expected to serve gourmet delicacies such as finger foods, pastas, desserts, and drinks in this year’s festival. Performances from invited celebrity host, bands, comedians, personalities, DJs, and other local artists are lined up to amuse everyone while chomping crispy fried chicken wings or licking a cone of ice cream. Alternative food choices from selected food carts from in and out of the province are also available to satisfy everybody’s craving for delicious food and drinks.

Having a fresh take on contemporary food service concepts, food truck business is still one of the big trends in the Philippine hospitality and tourism industry. With its growing popularity, the University continues the said event to highlight this food service concept in Central Luzon and to expand its market reach. This is also expected to stimulate entrepreneurial activities or partnerships and to foster an environment for social interaction and exchanges of information on the exciting and ever-changing hospitality and tourism landscape.
